Key challenge

Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance (CRGPA) are a GP Federation Company operating across the Coventry and Warwickshire footprint. Accurate and timely data is key to the current operation of CRGPA. Their performance reporting dashboard is reliant on multiple data sources and has a multistep production process. CRPGA wanted an independent review to cement confidence in the data presented in the dashboard reports, but also to identify any efficiencies that can be achieved in the reports production.

Work completed

Ballards IT and Digital Transformation Department conducted an independent review of performance report generation.

We worked alongside the CRGPA data analysis team to understand and verify the theoretical calculations of the reports and then mapped these to the core data sources to ensure they were aligned. Sample data testing was also conducted to gain further confidence in the accuracy of reporting data.

All findings along with a list of prioritised recommendations for efficiencies that could be gained in the report generation were documented in an easy-to-understand report, which we presented and walked through with CRGPA.

Results

The work completed and report was very well received by CRPGA and cemented their confidence of the data presented in their dashboard reports. The recommendations listed in the report are now being actioned to improve the efficiency of the report production.
