Key challenge

CreativeFolks are a Digital Agency based in Northamptonshire who specialise in functional Web site and eCommerce builds. CreativeFolks had secured a large and complicated functional web build for one of the UK’s largest housing providers and wanted to ensure the project was managed in a controlled and structured manner and delivered to the client on time, in budget at to an exceptional level of quality.

Work completed

Ballards IT and Digital Transformation department were selected to Project Manage the scoping, development, testing and go-live of this important web build project. Ballards assigned an experienced PRINCE2 qualified project manager to effectively sit between CreativeFolks and the end client, responsible for managing the client actions and expectations while also project managing the CreativeFolks build and development team.

During the 6 month project, the Ballards Project manager :-

• Drove the project forward to reach the agreed objectives.

• Managed timelines, holding people accountable for actions.

• Ensured the project remained on scope and delivered to an exceptional level of quality.

• Ensured the project remained on budget.

• Managed and mitigated any project risks.

• Acted as the liaison and point of escalation between CreativeFolks and the end client.

Results

The project was successfully delivered to budget, scope and went live on time. CreativeFolks were extremely happy with project management services received, with the project scope, risks, timeline and budget expertly managed and controlled. The end client was also ecstatic with the delivered web build.
