Ballards worked with Psycle London to provide independent project management support for the delivery of its new website and digital experience, with the mobile app forming the next phase of the project.

Key Challenge:

Psycle is a leading London fitness brand offering immersive Ride, Barre, Reformer, Lift, Infrared, Lagree and Yoga experiences across its studios.

Psycle embarked on a significant digital project to create a new website and customer experience, working with a third-party development agency. The project involved a wide range of interconnected workstreams including design and UX, content, studio and class information, memberships, bookings, e-commerce, integrations, reporting, testing and launch.

With multiple stakeholders and dependencies across Psycle and its external partners, effective project management was essential to maintain momentum, provide clear visibility of progress and ensure that decisions, actions and deliverables remained controlled as the project moved from design through build and towards launch.

Work Completed:

Ballards provided independent project management throughout the project, working closely with both the Psycle team and the third-party development agency to coordinate delivery and provide a clear governance structure.

We managed the overall project roadmap, deliverables, actions, risks and dependencies, alongside regular project meetings and Steering Group reporting. This provided Psycle with clear visibility of progress, upcoming milestones, areas requiring decisions and any issues that could affect delivery.

Our role also involved coordinating stakeholders across the different workstreams, challenging timescales and outstanding deliverables where required, and helping translate detailed operational requirements into clear actions for the project team.

As the website approached completion, Ballards supported the transition into testing and launch preparation, ensuring appropriate focus remained on quality assurance, business sign-off, Go Live planning and Hypercare rather than development completion alone.

The next phase of the programme will extend Psycle's digital experience further through the delivery of its mobile app.

Results:

The structured project management approach provided Psycle with clear oversight, governance and accountability throughout a complex digital implementation involving multiple stakeholders and interconnected workstreams.

Despite changing priorities and dependencies during the project, these were actively managed and coordinated between Psycle and the third-party development agency, helping maintain momentum and ensuring risks and decisions remained visible throughout delivery.

The website project was ultimately delivered on time, to the agreed scope and within budget, progressing successfully through design, development, content population, testing and Go Live.

The successful delivery of the new website provides Psycle with an enhanced digital platform and a strong foundation for the next phase of its digital roadmap, including the planned development of the mobile app.
