Ballards worked with Inventor-e to conduct a system specification and selection for an integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
Inventor-e specialise in providing supply chain solutions that optimise inventory management and asset tracking.
The range of customised solutions they offer comprise of both hardware and software components. Inventor-e required a CRM system to effectively manage and streamline the entire sales process from initial lead gathering through to order delivery. Integration into the current finance system, stock system and client facing website were also key requirements.
Inventor-e wanted to ensure that they selected the right CRM system and provider to support the needs of the current business but that also aligns to the business strategy to cater for the future needs.
Ballards conducted an independent system specification and selection following a proven structured methodology. Initially discovery workshops were held with Inventor-e to fully explore their requirements and to understand the future business strategy. This was issued to a researched “short list” of suppliers in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and requirements document.
Formal evaluation and scrutiny of supplier responses then followed, along with facilitated software demonstrations. Ballards assisted in the review of the supplier agreements and fronted the procurement cost negotiations with the vendor of choice, which resulted in a circa 35% reduction in licence and implementation fees.
The support provided by Ballards was very well received by Inventor-e, greatly assisting in their decision in selecting a new CRM System. Inventor-e were very complimentary of the structured and detailed approach, and of our in-depth but impartial knowledge of the marketplace.
