Key challenge

Risilience wanted to demonstrate their credibility and commitment to cybersecurity by achieving Cyber Essentials certification.

Work completed

Ballards LLP IT and Digital Transformation department were selected to assist Risilience in achieving Cyber Essentials certification. Initially Ballards LLP conducted a Cyber Essentials readiness review to identify the gaps in compliance against the Cyber Essentialness standards. This was presented to Risilience along with set of recommended improvement actions and implementation plan.

Ballards LLP worked closely with Resilience’s 3rd party IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), to deliver the agreed technical changes in a controlled manner. Additionally, Ballards LLP provided assistance and guidance to the Risilience management team on the changes and additions required to policies, processes and procedures to gain compliance.

Once all improvement actions had successfully been completed, Ballards LLP prepared the Cyber Essentials submission for Risilience and facilitated any queries from the external certification body, resulting in Risilience successfully achieving Cyber Essentials certification.

Results

The support provided by Ballards LLP was very well received by Risilience, the process ensured Risilience were fully informed of the improvement actions required and all changes were delivered in a controlled manner with no disruption to the user base. Risilience have successfully obtained Cyber Essentials certification, sending a clear message on their dedication to Cyber Security.
